Runs and Drives Great! Everything works. I sold this to a friend of mine in December of 2010, he just traded it back in on a newer TDI. It was maintained well. Please be ready to honor your commitment upon placing a bid. Exterior Condition- The blue paint is in good condition. It is shiny and free of any clear coat damage or rust. There are no indications of accident history or flood history. The only defects are noticeable under close scrutiny and are as follows: The side mirrors are slightly faded, the rt quarter has a scratch and dent about 6" long, very light scratches on decklid (I will try to have them buffed). Overall the exterior is in better condition than you would expect for a vehicle of this age. Interior Condition- The tan leather is in good condition. The only notable wear is on the drivers side bolster (see pic) and the right rear seat has a quarter sized hole in it. The carpets are in average condition with a couple of marks noticeable in the pics. It has all of the normal problems that all of the other Jetta's have (broken glove box latch, center console lid broken, and headliner falling in the rear). I don't bother fixing those because you get the same part that just breaks again and it is of very little inconvenience. All of the power options work as they should including the a/c, cruise, power windows, locks, sunroof, and etc. Engine and Transmission- The engine performs as it should with no strange noises, vibrations, or smoke. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in 12/2010 and has only traveled 8k miles since their completion. The manual transmission shifts as it should and the clutch feels normal. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Tires- 3 of the tires are matching and have about 9/32nds of tread depth remaining, the 4th has about 2/32nds remaining.
