After years of happy ownership I am having to part ways with my brilliant e46 m3 due to a sudden move. I am the third owner and purchased this vehicle in August of 2009. The previous owners serviced the vehicle at Momentum BMW in Houston. Under my ownership the car has been serviced by an independent certified BMW master technician and has went through several track-minded modifications. All modifications were upgrades to oem or better quality. For example when I purchased brand new control arms for the vehicle I opted for polyurethane bushings (FCAB's) which are much more durable than stock bushings. The vehicle is also equipped with solid motor and transmission mounts which lowers the cars center of gravity but does produce a slight vibration at idle. All fluids have been replaced according to manufacturer's recommendation including differential, transmission fluid. Motor oil has been changed at around 8000 miles religiously only using castrol 10w-60 even though BMW states every 15,000. You are going to find a lot of M3's for sale on Ebay and your local classifieds but I guarantee you'll have to look long and hard to find a proper 6 SPEED LEFT FOOT CLUTCH MANUAL non-convertible example. I cannot stress how important it is to find this combination as I feel it completes the third generation M3 as one of the purest and most exciting sports cars of the new millennium. Add to that and you have an ideal track ready project car. The car definitely needs a new set of tires as well as new rear trailing arm bushings. There is also slight body damage on the front bumper and the bilstein pss9 kit either needs a rebuild or full replacement. Also the AC stopped blowing cold but it probably just needs a new sensor or recharge. The check engine light is on because the car has a full exhaust system with no cats. I upgraded to euro spec headers for the extra horsepower, lots of information on this upgrade if you search the forums. I am a BMW enthusiast and know everything possible thing about this car good and bad please feel free to ask me any question regarding owning one of these magnificent machines. Every modification is reversible and I feel the next owner has the option to revert back to a stock M3 or realize my ultimate vision of a world beating track car or maybe even a HPF turbo kit if you have deep enough pockets!
