This school has just opened up in the inner city of Killeen, Texas right next to Fort Hood, one of the largest U.S. Military Bases in the country. As an active duty Soldier my wife and I feel this school deserves the chance to make it because it offers low cost tuition for a high quality Montessori education! ..... just as Maria Montessori intended! Giving those that don't have much a chance to get a quality education for their children at a price equal to or less than most daycare rates in the area.... So here's some details about this little car: I bought this 1983 AUSTIN ROVER MKII Mini in Germany from another Soldier that owned it for about a year. My purchase price: $6,300.00 My investments to date, about $5,000.00 to include: Interior: 1. New Black Carpeting 2. New Cobra Front Seats with Red Trim 3. New Oak Wood Shift Knob 4. New Black Headliner (uninstalled) 5. New re-upholstered dash 6. New Oak-Wood Radio Dash Console 7. New Center-Console 8. Re-upholstered rear-speaker mount 9. New Sony DVD player w/IPod connect 10. New Red Door and Rear Seat Panels 11. 200-Watt Sub-woofer Amplifier Engine: 1. New upgraded 70amp alternator 2. New clutch bearing seals 3. Carburetor tune-up 4. New 4-to-1 exhaust Manifold (uninstalled) 5. New 2" RC-40 exhaust down-pipe (uninstalled) Exterior: 1. Paint Job Silver with Black Stripes in 2010 2. HD Polish and Buffing service 3. Xtreme Weather Indoor-Outdoor Car Cover Suspension: 1. New Hi-Lo adjustable suspension mounts front and rear 2. New GAZ adjustable shocks front and rear 3. New Front Drum Brake to Cooper S Disc Brake Conversion This was going to be my little Honda VTEC MINI project car, but this non-profit organization really needs the donations and I haven't had the time to work on it so if you believe like I believe that the words high-quality and low-cost education can actually be in the same sentence, then help me to help this dream come true. We can make a difference by providing a chance to those little children that would not normally get an opportunity to get a high-quality private education. This little Mini runs greats and I have not had any major issues getting it going....... easily cruises at 65-75mph on the highway. That being said......Like any British Classic, it doesn't come without some minor issues: *** There is no stated or implied warranty for this vehicle and no returns accepted, so please bid carefully. Sold in "AS-IS" condition. We can go together to a local mechanic of your choice for an independent inspection of the car at the buyers expense *** 1. Small oil leak (nothing significant enough to stop everyday use) 2. 2nd gear is starting to wear out, pops out of gear some times, but has not kept me from driving it around town......... (not uncommon for this age/type vehicle, entire re-built transmission about $500-$800, unless you know how to replace the minor parts yourself for much less) 3. Rust...... some minor rust is starting to build up in the boot area, A-frame panel area, front wheel-well area, and driver and front-passenger foot-well area. (This may not be significant to some but to others, it may be an slight issue on contention.......unless you can either take care of it yourself, or you have someone that can handle it for you.) *** There is no Vehicle History Report available as I just brought it into the US when I departed my last duty station in Germany in June of 2012, HERE'S THE INCOMPLETE VIN FROM EUROPE: SAXXL2XXXXX (NEW OWNER WILL RECEIVE ALL ORIGINAL TITLES AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS)*** Included with your final bid/donation (unless you state you don't need/want these parts at time of auction closing) is an extra disassembled 998cc engine for spare parts or for rebuild. *** All Sales are final, and I will not release the vehicle until payment has been cleared in full.
