Vehicle Detail
1970 Pontiac Lemans Convertible NO Reserve Nice driving project. Engine and trans- original. 350 with automatic trans. Runs and drives fine.No a/c. Brake are a little soft , I have a new set of brakes that come with the car still in the box. It could use a tune up. The gas tank has a screw in the bottom of it , looks like some one used it as a drain. I can see where it looks like someone drilled two small holes in the trunk are and then put screw in the holes. I'm guessing it was to drain water and they must have drill into the tank and then had to drain out rain water. Works fine with no leaks , but wanted to make you aware , in case you want to change it. I had it plated and me and my son used to drive it locally, real head turner. Brake got to soft , so I parked it. Battery is a little weak now from sitting, had to jump it today. Body- good for its age. The body has bondo, the driver side is pretty straight, passenger side looks good but needs a little more work and trunk lid and a few bubbles along the Deck lid. The trunk pan and area around the trunk gaskets are very solid.Door Jams are solid. Body is hot rod black. Bumpers need rechromed. I was going to paint them the same as the body like a GTO. The drivers door sticks a little and the interior door handle needs the linkage reattached my son looked the door and now it only open from the out side. Power Top-canvas is in usable condition, but could use replacement down the road. Has a stitched area. Has new cylinders for the top they cost almost $300 , the original pump works well. Interior- the interior is in great condition for it age. Seat look great door panels are in very good shape. Dash is near perfect. The carpet could stand to be replaced. Radio works well. Like I said it a nice driving project. You can throw the brakes on and drive it as is or fix it up. I would bring a trailer due to the soft brakes. Thanks for look this over. Wheels and Tires- Tire are just over a year old, maybe 500 mils on them. Rims are Crager Pro Stars. Very shape look, they do have a few minor rust spots from sitting. They polish out pretty goods, but then the spots come back after it set for a few weeks.
