Vehicle Detail

Cheers, You are looking at a 1966 AMC Rambler station wagon lowrider with hydraulics. It has the AMC 232ci straight 6 coupled to a 3 speed automatic. I took the old intake and crappy Holley manual choke carb off and replaced the intake with one from a later Jeep and a 2 barrel Weber DGEV carb from a BMW 2002. It has an aluminum exhaust manifold from a Jeep, too. This carb totally changes the drivability. It starts much easier. Pump the gas once to engage the choke, and it runs great. It's a 770 model, so the seats fold down into a bed. I've been camping in it, and it's very comfy. The hydraulics were on the car when I got them, so I don't know a ton about them. The back raises up around 16", the front (used to) go up 8" or so. THE GOOD: The engine and transmission run great. The car runs awesome, it sits well in traffic. I did the custom paint myself. It may not be your thing, but hey, it turns heads for sure. The wood roof rack holds a bunch of stuff. Its also made by me. It's Cypress with loads of varnish on it. Wheels are 15" Cragar Star Wires, powder coated lime green. The Primewell tires have <1000 miles on them. Have some aftermarket gauges: fuel, oil pressure, and water temp. THE BAD: The car has some rust issues at the rear wheel wells. The rear window was electric, but the glass broke, so I replaced it with acrylic. It unbolts with 8 thumbscrews. I took off the front hydraulics because they rattled around a lot. They are still plumbed, so you could easily put them back on. The wiring is a little rough. It could stand to be wire wrapped. It has a Painless Wiring fusebox, No heat or A/C. The heater core was removed. (A replacement is available online.) No windshield wipers. (They were vacuum operated and the pump was broken. The replacement is $$$$, or you could cobble something together.) That's about it. ASK QUESTIONS!!! Obviously car is sold as-is.
