Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1991 Geo Tracker LSI soft top convertible with a 5 speed manual trans. and 4x4 with auto locking hubs. This tracker has only a little over 28,000 miles. Though it is the older model with only 5 digits on the odometer, I have maintenance records to verify the mileage. Here is a list of the "good, bad and the ugly" The good: Excellent interior and exterior. All original, no dents and NO BODY RUST at all. Interior seats have no rips, tears or stains. Has original am/fm cassette player that works AC works perfect and has never been recharged. front tires are original tires from the factory. Rear tires are newer and have at least 90% tread Engine and transmission feel like new and have absolutely no issues. And of course, super low mileage with many long years of life left. The bad: There is a slow drip coming from the steering pump. I have not looked into fixing it because it was easier to place a piece of cardboard under the car to catch any drips. The front tires, though nice to know they are original, are going bald and dry rotted. But good enough to drive it home. And lastly, the brakes feel like they could use a little attention. All original pads and equipment, but feel a bit spongy and the emergency brake may hang up temporarily, until the car gets rolling, if not driven in a while. The ugly: There is surface rust on the undercarriage. NO rot, no structural loss of integrity, but the typical side affect of being driven in salt and the parked for extended periods of time. The brake lines were affected also, but no leaks. The frame is completely solid. And again, no body rust anywhere that I can find. Overall, this is a great car with loads of life left and potential for an easy, total restoration. They will only get harder to find and I cant see these cars ever diminishing in value, as they become more and more rare. Email me with any questions.
