Vehicle Detail
Up for auction a 1972 Dodge Challenger. This car was restored to a driver in 2011. It starts usually on the first try with one pump of the peddle and shifts smoothly. It houses a none matching 400 big block. Which sounds wicked with its old school cherry bomb duel exshaust that is in good condition. It has a 727 slapstick with an 8-3/4 rear end. Engine runs and sounds great, all lights and gauges function properly. Brakes are not power but work . Power steering works well. Interior is in fair condition with new headliner and carpet. Alll glass is in good conditon. Windows, doors and locks operate smoothly. With the exception of the passenger rear quarter and the hood the body has little filler. The car is freshly painted to driver condition but has about 20 coats of old paint on it should be striped if restored. The floor pans where patched with 16 gauge weldable steel very solid. The hood was rusted pretty bad so I decided to have some fun. Always loved the shaker look. Seat belts are there and function with one back seat strap torn. A/C appears factory but the engines original compressor and components were removed ,suitible for rebuild or core exchange ,included. Heat is not hooked up will need new control unit. The passenger back rail had a hole that was patched but over all underside, frame, rockers are rust free with original undercoating. Window and wheel chrome trim is stick on but looks good for driver. People take pictures every where I go but keep in mind this is a 40 year old car and it constantly reminds me of what it wants replaced. I was driving it up to about a week ago when a trans seal started leaking. So thats what it needs next. It will drive up on to a trailer but thats about it until its fixed. . This is a driver/project sold "as is" "where is". The E-body the icon of Mopar getting harder to find and going up in value. This is a no reserve auction. Buyer responsible for transport. Good luck bidding
