Vehicle Detail
This is a 1942 GMC 2 1/2 Ton Water Truck that I am selling for my brother. I don't know a lot of specifics, but I'll try to paint a valid picture of this vehicle. In 1942, this truck was built and delivered to the US Army. Some time after WW2, it was transferred to the California Department of Forestry and used in Northern California. Some time after that it was sold as surplus. My brother bought it from the family of that buyer. As you can see, it is in original (from 70 years ago) condition. The pictures that I have posted are the only ones I have. I can call my brother with specific questions if they are posted on Ebay. Mileage is unknown, so I posted 999,999. The engine turns over, but doesn't start. The drive train appears completely intact. The Milwukee engine that drives the pump is complete, but doesn't run. The piping from the pump and the front and rear of the truck (with spray nozzles) appears to be complete. This is the standard 6 x 6 "Duece and a Half" that was made famous in WW2 and remains an icon of American history, when Detroit made steel trucks that ran forever.
