Vehicle Detail
1984 Ford Ranger pickup 4X4, reblt eng, xfer case, patch panels, Mallory dist, Edelbrock hders, project truck, camper top 84 Ford Ranger long bed pick-up truck, that is rusty but has the following; Rebuilt professionally engine, original type 2.8, never run, stored in the garage, waiting to be installed, plus original engine is still in the truck 5 speed factory manual transmission, an automatic transmission is also included with an original floor shift if someone wants to change from the factory set up Rebuilt transfer case with just a few hundred miles on it. Don’t think that it has actually ever been used in 4 wheel drive Edelbrock headers Mallory distributors – 3 units, one is installed on the engine in the truck, the other 2 are loose Chrome valve covers Holley 2 barrel aftermarket carbureator Rebuilt air conditioner compressor and new dryer New radiator and heater core An extra front differential and gear set New shocks in box, ignition wires, etc. In addition to the engine and drive train parts, it has probably all the patch panels needed to restore the body. It has; NOS hood, installed and primed NORS tailgate installed And waiting to be installed are; NOS tail and side marker lights, headlight bucket Repro rocker panels, cab corners, bed panels behind the rear wheels Repro cab floor pan panels, rear wheel well patch panels NOS panel below grille Repro door bottom patch panels Repro front fenders Repro radiator and front fender support panel Repro grille Aftermarket wheel well protectors for inside the bed Aftermarket rear wheel well liners, rocker panels step plates, and tailgate top protector New wheel beauty rings And Fiberglass aftermarket fender skirts Fiberglass sun visor for over the front windshield This used to be my daily driver until I parked it in the back yard some years back. Since I am near retirement age, I began to buy whatever parts that I would see that I thought that I might need to restore the truck. I even bought the automatic transmission just because I thought I might want to drive automatic instead of the 5 speed. There is nothing wrong with the 5 speed. I just wanted a change. Unfortunately, Even though I have not retired yet, I have come down with Rheumatoid Arthritis. This limits my mobility, and has led me to believe that I just cannot fulfill my wish of restoring the truck. The truck would be a great buy for someone who has the desire to take on a project like this. The truck has not run or moved for some time now, so it will need to be towed. The truck bed is just about crammed full with the patch panels and other parts, so it would be best to tow it with another truck, such that the rebuilt engine and the extra automatic transmission could be transported at the same time. I re-read my description and realized that I had forgotten to list that the windshield has cracks. Neither the windshield nor the body have ever been hit by anything, but I think that they have cracked from heat stress, as the cracks got larger while parked in the back yard.
