1997 Ford Conversion Van Handicap Equipped This is a very nice handicap van I purchased for my mother-in-law about 4 years ago. We have used the van numerous times, and it serves the purpose very well. It only has 49,000 original miles on it, Since I have had the van we have put new tires on it, new brakes, new shocks, and replaced the rear ac hose.. It should be good to go. It has a Braun lift that can be operated from the drivers seat or from the lift itself. I think it is a 1000 lb lift. I know it will handle me and a full handicap scooter, and I weigh 300 lbs. It has automatic doors, and everything works fine. It is currently licensed and inspected in Texas. The van has a Cobra CB radio, dual stereos, a TV, and as you can see is nicely fitted inside with lots of wood, lights, etc. The rear seat is powered and goes flat into a bed. The interior is all leather and in very nice shape. Both front seats are power seats, and the driver’s seat is removable. It is just a very nice van that we no longer need. It was originally equipped with the hand control conversion that allowed someone with a wheelchair to actually drive the van. That was removed and replaced with a convetional steering wheel making it easier for my wife to drive. I still have the parts we removed, and they will go with the vanif desired. I spoke with the conversion company that did the conversion (they are still in business) and they said the van was nearly $80,000 when new. The reserve is very much less. This will make a very nce vehiclefor someone who needs it. .
