You are bidding on a 1915 Model T Ford pick-up truck. The vehicle was purchased from a museum in the Chicago area. It was originally from Rockford, Illinois and was used to deliver people's luggage from the train station in Rockford. The body was manufactured by the Emerson & Brandingham Company Carriage Works in Rockford. Mr. Emerson was a majority owner of the company and was the brother of the famous writer. It is believed that the company had built 50 of these vehicles and that approximately 5 trucks remain today. This example is an older restoration and does have some paint chips on the fenders. The rear wind screen has been replaced with the original one being found behind the gas tank and is included with the sale. The front wind screen was added by the current owner. (The owner did find a picture that included this window from an earlier model and is not original to the vehicle.) The vehicle had been driven regularly and the current owner is updating all hoses and fluids at this time to keep it cool during the hotter months in Southern California. The vehicle does has a Ruckstell Transmission. The car is being sold as is where it is. It is up to the successful bidder to provide for pick up and delivery at their own expense.
