Up for auction is my 1971 Porsche 911T. This is a complete rolling car w/ engine and transmission taken out for rebuilding in 1993, after emissions test failure. This car has been carefully stored for almost 20 years and is in as excellent condition as the day I put it into storage (except for one small ding on the right-rear fender - see picture). I have purchased approx 90% of all new parts required to rebuild. The only remaining tasks is to have the case halves machined for the 2.7L crank shaft main bearings (with matching connecting rods), and the oil by-pass modification for the new Carrera oil pump. Included is the late-style Carrera chain tensioner kit. In addition to the kit are the updated idler arms, new cam sprockets, idler sprockets and new one-piece chains and rails. Since the case halves have not been separated, I don't know the condition of the intermediate shaft assembly and gears. This car has never seen rain in its life with me and I sincerely hope the new owner will take the time to care for this car as I have! If you have any further questions, feel free to message me! It has been garage stored and covered since 1993 after emissions test failure due to worn valve guides. · Odometer reads 84K · Original 2.2L engine (numbers match car VIN) and 5-speed tranny Engine has been pulled and re-worked as follows: · Transmission and heads were re-worked and rebuilt by Gerber Motorsports of Seattle in 2001. Heads were re-worked w/ all new intake & exhaust valves & phosphorus bronze valve guides · New Carrera chain tensioner kit w/ covers and oil lines included · Cam shafts re-ground for performance driving (have specs) · New rocker arms and shafts (original arms and shafts included in sale) · New stock flywheel and bolts · New clutch disks (2) and pressure plate with throw-out bearing and pilot bearing · One set new continuous timing chains and new plastic rails · 2.7L crankshaft and matching connecting rods for updated performance, using stock pistons - One set of rebuilt Weber triple-throat 40IDA 3C carburetors, with extra-tall pre-atomizers · New stainless steel heat exchangers with new mounting bolts Additional work needed: · Engine case needs machining for brand new Carrera oil pump w/ pressure relief valves included. New after-market aluminum sump cover will be required for oil pump, plus normal machining of main bearing journals,etc. Cam towers are in very good condition.
