Vehicle Detail
I am selling this vehicle for my brother, located in Northern California. Up for auction is a 1976 International Scout, equipped with a SD-33 Nissan/Chrysler-Marine Diesel 6 cylinder engine. This variant is rare, and a running example such as this one is rarer still. The vehicle runs, and for a time was my brother's daily driver. As inclement weather set in, he opted for something with a roof. The SD33 is a 3.3 L (3,246cc/198.1 cu. in.) straight-6 Diesel Engine most known for its use in the Nissan Patrol MQ (160 series) from 1980-1983 and the Nissan C80. The SD33 produces 98 hp (73 kW).The Engine was also used in the UD 3400 series light truck, large forklifts, Marine applications, in International Scout offerings from 1976 to 1979,as well as Jeep flightline tow vehicles from 1985 to 1986. The picture I have posted are the only ones I have. There is no significant body damage, but it is a 36 year old vehicle in original condition, and has been used off-road for a large period of it's life. This vehicle starts and runs. The 4-wheel drive operates, and as I said, it was his daily driver for a while. The vehicle needs a total restoration for show, or can be used as is as a working SUV. The SD-33 engine is desireable, as it can be converted to bio-diesel with relative ease.
