1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. This is a remarkable and beautiful sport car with only 19k miles. Finished in 230 bianco freddo (soft white) exterior and 206 tan interior it looks and feels brand new. This last and final version of this iconic sport car enjoys the Pininfarina styling updates that brought all the classic design elements together. A rear to die for with its cute little aero flip up and a strong side profile to make any Italian proud. I have seen all the colors of this car and I think white is the best and by far coolest - Ciao ! Mi Piace Davvero!. (Red is so passé, green wrong country, black wrong car and “trying to hard” yellow is just wrong.) Five speed manual transmission with dual overhead cam this car zips through the turns like a playful puppy, yet I drove this car on the highway straight from Arizona, through Santé Fe and into Denver without a hitch. The Veloce names implies this is the premium version with electric windows, alloy wheels with Pirelli P6s and power assisted steering (as all were that sold in the USA with this year). Everything on this car is original including the classic Alfa Romeo stereo and tire gang. It starts every time, goes straight and true, and stops on a dime. Feels fast and solid with no creaks. Common to these cars it uses a hydraulic clutch which in traffic might need a little pumping if rested too long. Acceleration is brisk with reliable electronic fuel injection providing spirited and consistent performance while maintaining good gas mileage. Interior is leather with suede inserts and looks new The soft-top is fine with a little fading and a nice interior matching cover. I did notice that after not driving the car for awhile one of the gauges needed a rap on the side to come on line. Tires have plenty of tread and there are no door dings. Paint has no bubbles and shines up new. Engine purrs with no smoke. Did I mention this car only has 19K miles on it?! We are talking about a 20 year old car that looks like a tenth of that…even up close…still do study the pictures and make your own judgments. I am the third owner, but the car was well loved for most its life by its first owner. Second owner decided the manual shift was not his cup of tea shortly after purchase. The car has always been garaged. Naturally I am selling this car as is and you will have to make arrangement for pickup or shipping (which is really quite easy).
