1949 Ford panel truck. This truck is all original with a good body and good interior. I bought this truck from a estate sale last fall. It had the original paint and the previous owner had started to restore it. I had the truck primered black to protect the body because most of the paint was sanded off. I was given documentation that he put a 53 flat head v8 in it. He sealed the gas tank and rebuilt the radiator. I put all new brakes (new master cylinder, four wheel cylinders, new steel brake lines, hidraulic brake hoses, new rear brake shoes, the front brake shoes are 80 percent) also 8 new plugs, starter cellanoid, 6 volt push button starter switch, and a new choke cable. The previous owner also put new shocks and a new clutch in. He rebuilt the front end. Included in the sale are new rubber for the doors, extra rear fenders, and a extra front floor pan as pictured. The heater, horn, and other misc. parts are also pictured as well as brand new kick panels still in the wrapper. I am running this truck off a auxillary gas tank just to play it safe. As the video shows, the truck runs with no knocks, misses, or smoke. It shifts all gears and the brakes work great. The wiring harness should be replaced as it is original. The headlights and tailights were disconnected with the intention of replacing the wire harness. the tires are okay, it comes with four hubcaps. The chrome that is missing is the ford emblem on the nose( easy replacment) and the hood lever on the passenger side of the hood should be replaced. the left side chrome peice comes with the truck but I never put it on. The interior is 100 percent original with very little rust. the rear wheel wells have little rust and could be fixed or you can replace the rear fender wells with the extra fender wells. As my pics show, the floor pan on the pass. side has rust and could be repaired or you can use the replacment floorpan that is included. The truck at this point has only been yard driven and driven on our gravel road up to 50 mph. My opinion is that you should trailer it until you have a chance to tweak it up for street use. I have pictures of the body prior to me primoring it black, I will try to post these as they show there is very little rust in case the black primor is hiding any. this will make a great restoration to keep it original or tweak it up and drive it as it is. I set the reserve well below the value of the truck to ensure a sale, only bid if you are serious about buying this truck. The only reason I am selling this truck is I have too many other projects ahead of it and it is a shame to let it just sit.
