Vehicle Detail
1978 Toyota Land Cruser FJ40. Nice Stock condition (it's difficult to find these without lots of modifications). It has the original 6-cyl. engine that starts and runs well. Solid, stock 4-speed transmission. Original glass is perfect. Seat covers on the front seats (has a hole in the seat on the driver's side, but repairable)....all other seats are very nice. Stock rear heater which is a rare option. Even has the original, stock AM radio. Previous owner added carpet to the rear bed compartment (can be removed) and had the interior and exterior repainted. Additionally, had the majority of the minor rust issues professionally repaired. Odometer mileage is 41,000. Chrome slotted wheels with Michelin LTX P235/75 R15 tires that have 90% of tread remaining on them. This is the eighth FJ40 I have owned since my twin brother, Army Ranger, introduced me to them when he bought his in 1979. I currently own 3 and two of them are up for sale. These vehicles are industructable...as demonstrated in the jungles of South America, the outback of Australia and the safari plains of Africa. True, you will get the "I wish I had one of those REAL vehicles" looks from the $70k-plus SUV drivers as they pull next to you at a stop light or follow you out to the parking lot. In military terms, these vehicles are absolutely, unapologetically 'HOOAH'. Own an FJ40 and be part of the legend! Questions....Major Don 936 524 3968. Vehicle is sold as/where is (35 minutes north of Houston, TX). Buyer is resonsible for all shipping costs. I will be glad to assist your shipper in the pickup of this vehicle. Depending upon your location, I can recommend a licensed/bonded shipper that I have used in the past that rates excellent. Payment of $500 is due with 24-hours of the end of the auction and the remainder of the full payment is due within 72-hours by PayPal or Cashier's Check or cash.
