'98 A4 Quattro 5 speed M/T 164K miles. Good as a parts car or a mechanics special. My beloved daily driver until last week. The Bad: Timing belt tensioner bolt broke, major top end damage. Not running. The Good: Car is very clean for its age, Mobil1 0W-40 practically all its life. Car has some expensive & desirable performance parts. See below.. Don't think due to the fact that the timing belt is the cause of failure the car was not properly maintained. I always went above & beyond mfg specs when it comes to maintenance. The timing belt was replaced a year & a half ago! Replaced timing belt, tensioner, waterpump, t-stat, housing, coolant, belts & all serpentine & a/c tensioners! All OE quality German stuff. I am quite pissed that a 6 dollar tensioner bolt has caused me to have to list my car on eBay. Life goes on.. K-04 turbo 14 months old (torque of this unit is worth every penny!) AWE stage 2 K-04 ECU program (perfect compliment to above) Audi Sport wheels with decent Conti A/S tires Sport steering wheel OE VAG battery 18mo old Milltek stainless exhaust with flex pipe big buck$$, 20 months old OE Carpet floor mats Radiator & hoses, 17 months old I can not & will not part out. Entire car must go. Buyer arranges tow.
