I have decided to sell my 1996 Mystic Cobra Mustang. If you have searched for one of these cars you know what you're looking at. This car has been in the family since new and only has 34,712 miles on the clock. This car was sold from Athens Ford in Athens Georgia, and after entering the Military I acquired the vehicle in 2004. I have maintained the vehicle meticulously with Mobile One Synthetic Oil every year regardless of how little I drove it. The car has always been stored in a climate controlled garage or storage unit during my possession. While stored, it has been covered with a custom California car cover that fits the Mustang perfectly and the car sits on a thick rug to prevent flat spots in the tires. The Mustang has never had any accidents, as well as any major work done. The Mustang runs excellent and it has no mechanical issues other than a little fluid leaking from sitting. This leaking is very minimal and does not leave oil or evidence of leaking on the ground. The Mustang only has a handful of tasteful modifications. The modifications are as listed: Wheels:2004 OEM 17X9 Cobra Wheels, with newer Hanhook Ventus 275/40/ZR17's tires installed. Suspension: Eibach 1 7/8" Pro-sport Springs- Factory springs are included in the sale Engine: New 3 Core Aluminum radiator- only to ensure the car can handle 110 degree heat with the air on, some 96 Cobras had cooling issues. A/C Condenser- New 1997 Mustang Cobra condenser- as suggested by the Ford service bulletin to correct the cooling issue. Jet-Tronics computer tuner, this part is interfaced between the original ECU and the main harness. It tunes the computer for optimal air fuel and timing. This part has been installed since 1996. K&N air filter. No other modifications have been performed to the car. As you can see in the pictures there are a few flaws in the paint, mostly from the Ford manufacturing plant. The white blemishes are in the base and have been there since I have owned the car; they have not grown or progressed. I took the car to Ford and asked them about the paint; they told me it is a defect in the paint application from the factory and would need a repaint at the affected areas to repair as the spots are in the base and not the clear coat. The most noticeable spots are on the trunk lid and right side rear quarter panel. The panels that are affected are the rear deck, hood, roof and right side rear quarter, most are barely noticeable, but I feel the buyer should know everything about this car, positive and negative. As you can see there is a group of scratches on the lower left side fascia, this was caused by a branch laying low in a driveway over ten years ago. You cannot see this when standing straight up; you can only see it while looking down to inspect it. The only other paint issue is a rock chip to the center of the hood on the lip right above the Mustang emblem. Beside the known issues I have described there are no dents or dings and the car shows very well, the clear is in great shape and really shines. I do not use automatic car washes, I only hand wash this car and I keep a good coat of wax on it. I must stress the only issues with the paint that I am aware of I have photographed and described. I do not want to give the impression this is a defective car or the paint is trashed, if you have questions about these issues please ask as I will be more than happy to email more detailed pictures or answer any and all questions you may have.The interior is near perfect with only one scratch on the right side interior door pull handle, the driver's seat belt fails to retract intermediately. Everything else works and looks great. Please remember you are buying a car off the internet so ask plenty of questions and know what you are buying. I have attempted to describe the car as best as I can and provide enough pictures. I want the new owner to enjoy this Cobra as much as I have. The Mustang listed and described above is being sold as is and the responsibly lies on the individual purchasing the car to ensure it is what they want.
