Vehicle Detail

Note: Being sold to the highest bidder with NO RESERVE, please do not bid if you do not understand the terms or if you do not have funds in hand to complete the transaction. Thank you – 1985 Aston Martin Lagonda VIN: SCFDL01S8FTL13394 Traditionally, Aston Martin had worked on 2+2 sports cars, but the Lagonda was a four-door saloon with a brand new V8 engine. The car was designed by William Towns in an extreme interpretation of the classic 1970s "folded paper" style. Throughout the history of the marquee, these hand-built Lagondas were amongst the most expensive saloons in the world. The only other "production" cars to approach its lofty price tag were the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit/Silver Spur and Bentley Mulsanne. Offered here is a great example of the technological icon of the early 1980’s. Easily suited as an everyday driver, this luxury coach is one of the nicest preserved examples we’ve come across. Cosmetically, the Lagonda is very clean inside and out. The body gaps are consistent and the white paintwork is in great shape, including the supple rubbers/seals. Likewise, the cabin’s upholstery is neat and shows minimal usage both on the rich leather and carpeting. The former caretaker and very knowledgeable Lagonda enthusiast spent several years maintaining the outstanding condition of the car. Note* The notorious original electronic dash instruments were replaced by the previous owner with a more modern LED setup which works much better than the original, but does not properly align with the factory veneer cover – fitment sorting is required. The Aston Martin drives very well, the motor starts without hesitation and performs smoothly through all gears and road conditions. The A/C is working, suspension feel good and the handling and acceleration is very good. The odometer displays 12,000 original miles, although it’s believed the unit stopped recording sometime in the early 2000’s - as verified by the clean CarFax and accompanying paperwork. Included with the car are all of the original accessories such as the owner’s handbook with information booklets, emergency roadside kit in pouch and luxurious tool/first aid kit – as well as custom embroidered mats and original parts. The Aston Martin Lagonda has been increasing in collectability in the last several years and some have been sold for world record prices at public auctions. Please call if you have any questions, we encourage and are happy to arrange inspections. Working/Operating well - Lights: Signals, Headlights high beam & low beam, Brake and reserves - PWR Seats, PWR Windows, Radio, Interior lights, PWR mirrors - A/C is cold - Dash lights, RPM & Speedo, etc… Not Working/Operation - Driver side PWR window goes up and down only halfway - Rear Passenger PWR Window does not go up and down Ownership History Highlights The last long term owner was a collector of Lagonda’s having owned 5.
