1997 Dodge 2500 HD longbox extra cab Cummings turbo diesel 4x4. I am relisting this truck due to a non paying bidder, only bid if you are serious about buying this truck! ****NO RESERVE AUCTION**** high bidder will win!! I bought this truck 2 years ago from a new car chrysler/dodge dealership in richland center wisconsin after I purchased some horses and needed a truck to pull them to shows as well as classic cars from my collection in my 30 ft enclosed trailer. The dealership I got it from serviced this truck since it was new. It had 130k miles on it when I bought it. I ran a carfax and it verified the actual miles. This was a three owner truck owned and serviced in southeast wi. I was told by the new car dealership that the previous owner used this truck to pull his bumper pull camper. He got out of camping and traded it for a new minivan. It never had a 5th wheel in the truck so I had a 5th wheel plate installed. I had the cosmetic issues I found with the truck addressed. (typical rust in normal spots.) I spent over $5000 wholesale on body work including 2 front fenders, 2 rocker panels, 2 cab corners, and 2 box patch panels. Everything was welded and done right with no bondo. We had the truck completely repainted 2 years ago to factory colors. There is a paint blemish on the lower driver side door along with a few paint chips and minor scratches. (you cant notice them from 5 feet away) The rear bumper is the original bumper and it shows some wear. The inside of the box has the original paint and does show some scratches/wear. I took the 5th wheel plate out to go into my new truck. A bed liner would make the box look brand new. I replaced the tires three months ago (wholesale $800) I felt the turbo was lacking power when I was driving it about 8 months ago. (6000 miles ago) I had it looked at and was told that I should replace the turbo so I put a new turbo on(wholesale $1800) I averaged when towing 17 miles per a galon. Becuase of this I never chipped it or anything like that. In my opinion, this truck does not need anything mechanical and is ready to use and enjoy today. the interior of this truck is leather and both the leather and carpets are in great shape! The a/c, cruise control, guages, and all options work like they should. the roof lights and fog lights work. This truck drives steady with no play at 70mph with or without a load. this has been set up in my opinion for immediate use. I do not want to overcall this truck or undercall this truck.
