1925 Ford Model TT One Ton TruckWith Original Wood Cab & Grain BoxWe are offering up for auction my fathers 1925 Ford Model TT Truck that is in very good condition and runs very well. This truck was restored a number of years ago by the previous owner in the Rockford, Illinois area, (near Chicago) prior to my father purchasing the truck in 2003. He has used the truck very little due to our moving to northern Michigan in 2005 and some health problems since then so it has been in heated storage most of the time and just run a few miles each summer to keep things loose & lubricated. The truck supposedly came out of a large collection in the Chicago area before we aquired it,...which I believe due to it's very clean condition. Everything works as it should to the best of my knowledge,..lights work on both hi & lo beam, transmission works smooth and easy, it has an electric starter which works well, the motor starts right up and runs smoothly although you do need to adjust the fuel mixture valve properly after it warms up to operating temperature which is normal with most every Model T. We recently flushed out the fuel tank (it had some old gas in it) and installed a new sediment bowl / fuel valve with a new filter screen in it, and installed a fuel shut off valve at the carburetor so you don't have to crawl underneath the truck every time you want to run it. Also replaced the Battery/Mag. & light switch as the old switch would kill two cylinders when you switched it to Mag. after starting. That cured the problem and it runs fine now. It has newer coils in it and a new set of plug wires. I can't think of anything else right at the moment as far as the mechanical stuff goes so if you are wondering about anything else please ask me. Cosmetically, it is in pretty nice shape but does have a few scuffs & scrapes in the paint on both the fenders and on the wood cab and grain body from age and usage. I would call it a nice driver, and if we were keeping the truck I was going to wait a few more years and pull the sheet metal off one winter and take it to a body shop for repainting in order to put her in really top notch condition. The nice thing with this truck is that there isn't much sheet metal on it, (hood,fenders, and running boards) and the rest of the body requires wood working skills and brush on paint work in order to spruce it up. This truck has the original round tube radiator core in it which makes it run a little hotter, so I am including a new, never used "Texas T's" brand "leakless" water pump I have left from another vehicle. It will fit this truck just fine and all you need to go with it is a gasket, section of rubber hose, and a new longer fan belt.
