Offered for your consideration is this recently painted 1977 FJ55. It is stock with the factory under dash a/c. I purchased the vehicle several months past from a neighbor that had already begun the restoration. He had completed most of the exterior body work and it was in primmer state. He is a welder by trade and installed both the skid bars and custom front bumper. As well as, new starter, coil, wires, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder. I installed a new clutch master cylinder. It has all new brakes and rear has new brake cylinders. I rebuilt and rewired the rear power window. I also installed a rebuilt rear heater blower and motor with an after market dash control switch. The motor, transmission, four wheel drive and clutch work perfect. Motor starts easily, has plenty of power, idles smooth and has no leaks. The tires are like new Michelin Mud & Snow with all new valve stems. They are 235x75x15. Everything works from the horn to the cigarette lighter. I built this FJ55 for someone that intends to use it for off road and is not afraid to put a few rub marks on it, but will be proud to drive it down the road as well. The body work and paint are not perfect, this is not an $8000.00 paint job. If you are looking for show quality, this is not the vehicle for you. Things you may consider for the future are, rear doors need grab bars, rear window seal needs replaced, right rear door ashtray insert and sound system. The windshield has a crack which I have tried to show in the pictures, it has been there for ten years and is not in the line of sight.
