True So Ca Old School Hot Rod pickup. The fifth didget in the vin is an R = Built in San Jose Ca. The orginal V8 has been replaced with a mid 70s 460 big block tork monster that also has an Edelbrock intake manifold with a 4V carborator and a tall finned alum air cleaner coupled up to a super strong C6 automatic. Also has been upgraded to power brake and big disc up front with 4 pistons calipers. Has a Ford Posi traction rear end with a big fat sway bar. Also comes with the stock painted front bumper and both side mirrors that were removed for paint prep. This is truly an solid socal old school hot rod work truck. It is real straight for an old work truck and is very solid but it does have some surface rust starting to show on the roof but at this time its an easy fix. We replaced the drivers door because it had an uni body door on it. It has been off the road now for about 3 years. I personally do not know much of the history on this truck except the old owner did drive it as his weekly work truck for many years here in so ca before he brought it to us for paint and interior but that was about 3 years ago. This is what i do know it will always start right up with a pull of the choke knob when ever needed and it appeases to have no fluid leaks and will idel for a long time without overheating. I did drive it when it first came to my shop and it did run real strong and drove surprising well for a truck but it is to low geared for my liking, i am guessing around high 3s or low 4s. All the tires have good tread but the fronts are stating to crack so they should be replaced. With not to much work this truck can be back on the road as a daily driver or you can finish the restore and have you a nice old school hot rod pickup truck . Oh it has a clean ca title and is now registered ca none opted. If needed we can store it for a short time at no charge and can also help you with shipping.
