This is a very nice Southern, rust free, 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Truck. It is equipped with the 1.6L diesel motor paired with a 5 speed manual transmission. At first walk around you will notice the truck is overall in excellent condition. It has some paint chips missing in various places whre surface rust has formed but nothing serious. Body panels are straight and do not show signs of previous paint work. The rear passenger side of the bed does have a scratch approximately 10-12" long. The frame horns and strut towers are 100% rust free as seen in pictures. This truck is a NON-AC truck. The interior is also in good condition. The dash is cracked which is very common for these vehicles, we have placed a dash mat. The seats are in good shape without excessive wear in them. Carpet does not have excessive wear either, and has a very mild stain in the passenger side floor board. The truck runs and drives straight down the road with no excessive vibration or noises as it should. All maintenance was completed on this truck to make it 100% safe and reliable. New timing belt service was included in the work performed.
