Up for auction is a great British car for a restoration project. It is a 1980 Triumph TR-7 convertible with 74,600 original miles. The car has a 5 speed manual transmission and a 2.0 litre, 1998 cc motor. I bought it in 2000, and for several years enjoyed driving it and going to British Car Shows in the area. Fun car to drive, but it is 32 years old and I need the space in my garage again. I haven't driven or licensed it in the last two years, just stored it in the garage. I put it on a battery charger this week, and it started right up again. It will need some work before it can be driven - the tires need alignment, the brakes are soft, the tags and inspection are out of date and it needs to be checked by a mechanic before it goes out on the road. But on the plus side, no body damage other than the usual British rust in both front wheel wells, it does have the 5 speed transmission, nice alloy wheels, soft top, and the electric pop-up headlights both work! It is a project car, but it's starting off in pretty good shape for a 32 year old car. With some work, it has the potential to be a show car. Starting at only $500 with NO RESERVE.
