This is a "Collector Car", a summertime fun car, a very rare factory authorized convertible conversion. There is only a limited amount of these vehicles in existence. This car has been preserved in very good condition. It is garaged and driven only selectively. The history of this car is it has always been in my family, passed down to me from the original buyer, my brother. No other owners of this vehicle. The car has original low miles of 68,375 Look at this Car's rating on this page! A slow rebuild-makeover of this car took about 6 years. During this time the car remained inside entirely. Although the engine is standard, it was removed and rebuilt. A complete list of work and parts is available. All new gaskets, seals, hoses, belts, plugs, wires and other parts were replaced. All replaced items are new. It has a new custom built "High-Performance" exhaust system, new brakes and rotors, new fuel tank, professionally and extensively re-built carb (7 acid bath treatment), to like new condition using the original Rochester 4 BBL carb which originally was matched to this engine., new radiator, new wheels (original 1984 sport rims located at a dealer in PA still in the box from 1984) even have brand new center hub covers never on the car, new tires, new shocks, new front end stabilizer parts, new custom interior, new windsheild and many new interior parts were located and replaced the old ones, ie. electric door lock buttons, electric window buttons. Under the hood presents itself in a remarkable appearance with many new items. New clear, clean windsheild washer bottle, (still has the paper label on it) a brand new coolant recovery bottle.New chrome valve covers, New blue spark plug wires, very clean engine (but some components do show age but can be cleaned). This car body had structural improvements to the rear convertible top hatch improving the attachment point better than original. Body was professionally painted. There was no damage or significant dings to the body even before the work was started. The body was painted without the interior or doors, all sills and wells were painted, doors painted separately including the bottoms. Several coats of paint and clear coat finished the paint job. This was not done in a "hurry - fast - chain paint facility but a professional custom body and paint shop. The finish is very smooth and shows very well. The window rubber drip seals were replaced, a few rubber mouldings remain to be replaced (around the door) The windshield was replaced "after" painting for a very clean look, the rubber windshield moulding is in perfect condition. Most all plastic trim pieces were cleaned and re-painted. The convertible top is a hard top convertible and needs to be recovered. The car is in very, very good shape. I have all the original paperwork, a copy of the original bill of sale, the original owners manual and a copy. Am selling to move to Florida.........
