I am relisting my truck again. The following information should be considered by all!My buyer tried the following scam.1: He hit the buy it now button.2: He sent me an email stating that the truck is a gift for his father in Calhan, Co. 80808. United States. And he needed to keep it as a surprise. He also said he was out at sea on a special operation; with no access to a phone.3: He then asked if he could add the shipping fees as part of the payment and would I pay the shipper. (Sounds good so far)4: He emailed emailed me again and requested that I wire the funds to a shippers address on Co. 80808 with no phone. (still OK?) That put me on alert.5: Then a PayPal notification showed in my general email box, stating the funds were transferred. (still OK?) The answer is no. I signed into my PayPal account and there were $0.00 dollars transferred.6: Then another notification came stating that the funds are waiting but are frozen until the transporters money is wired.While I knew this was becoming a scam, I still reported it to Ebay and PayPal. They were both great and gave good advice to me. No funds were transferred. My message to all is please be careful and ALWAYS check with Ebay and PayPal before you transfer any funds. If you should purchase this truck from me, I invite you to contact Ebay to confirm the transaction.Now for the Fun Stuff:This truck can be driven while you restore it. I purchased it from New Mexico; so rust is minimal as far as I can tell. Underside and frame were never undercoated and shows minor surface rust only, looks like it could be sanded and painted. I consider this a plus.Truck looks good enough to enter local shows as is, and will get thumbs up by many. I purchased this truck to mechanically restore while driving. Once the mechanical was done, I intended to tear it down and paint it professionally. However, my schedule has become to busy and time is limited. I will be looking for something restored when sold.I suggest that the buyer inspects in person or hires a proffesional to inspect before purchase.I consider this truck as needing a total restoration. This truck is far from the typical rust bucket, it has good bones in my opinion. I say total Restoration only because it is very origional so gromats, bearings, suspension are as old as the truck. I only drove it a couple of hundred miles and it runs and shifts great. You are purchasing this truck (AS IS) !!!!!!The truck has 4 forward gears, 1 reverse gear. Gears and clutch work well. This is a compound transmission with 1-low forward gear, plus 3 forward runnig gears, and 1 reverse gear.Truck is a SHORT BED TRUCK and was originally red and white. Last owner painted it Yellow and White. While the yellow looks good and many people like it, I am a purest and would restore it to original colors.This truck looks to be original with the exception of the paint. It has Air Condition and it still blows slightly cold. It does have a slow leak so you will need to repair it. In my opinion I think the leak can be repaired and it is minor.The interior is OK but the upper dash cover does have cracks and can be restored. Truck needs a headliner and door panels.The truck has all of its glass. The front windshield does have a couple chips that could possibly be repaired. All chrome and stainless steel seems to be present and can be restored.Engine runs strong and does not smoke or use oil. As I said the transmission works well also.I am willing to consider possible trades. No Junkers! 1st choice 1987 to 1994 Corvette or Mustang.Buyer must make or arrange their own shipping at the buyer’s expense.
