For Sale: Yellow/Black 1961 Triumph TR3A Roadster I've decided that there are too many cars in the garage. I've owned this TR3A for about 8 years and have probably driven less than 500 miles. It deserves more use. The great points: I upgraded the front brakes to TR6 caliper mounts, slotted and drilled TR6 rotors, Toyota 4x4 four piston calipers. I also added an electric fan for the motor, a Petronix electronic distributor, and Flame Thrower 40,000 volt coil. The good points: The previous owner had several rebuilds done to the car including an engine rebuild in 1997, new brake and clutch masters in 1998, and new SU carbs in 2001. The interior is in very good condition and the convertible top is also, as it too was replaced by the previous owner. The average points: The tires are bias ply and were replaced by the previous owner in 1996. They still have excellent tread, having only been driven a few thousand miles. Unfortunately, they are starting to age crack. The paint is in reasonable condition. Again, the previous owner had a respray done. It wasn't a show job, but is quite servicable for daily driving and local meets. The chrome also is not perfect, with some pitting and scratches. The battery is aged, though it will hold a charge enough to start the car. I will replace the battery for reliability upon sale. There are a pair of rebuildable side curtains for which I have new fixed windows and window channel material. One of the sliding windows has been polished using a headlamp restoration kit...with excellent results. I assume the other sliding window would polish nicely also. I have enough Everflex to cover the large bottom portions of the frames...I intended to reuse/restain the material parts around the tops of the frame. Other notes: The odometer shows 46,781 miles ... but I can't verify that is accurate due to the age and unknown previous owners. There is no tonneau cover. A personal inspection (prior to bidding) would be both recommended and welcomed. Sells only to continental USA. A deposit of $250 via Paypal is required on auction completion. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. Cash is acceptable on pickup, otherwise both the car and title will be held until the check, money order, or non-retractable wire transfer clears.
