1953 Ford Country Sedan. This is an original eight passenger 1953 Ford Country Sedan. This is a very original 1953 Ford Station Wagon. It runs and drives good. The brakes need work, but the car starts easily, the engine sounds solid and it shifts properly. It has the original paint, the original Flathead V8, and all of the original seats for Eight Passengers. It has 1953 Utah Plates, all the original brochures, owner's manual, and Shop manuals, It has the factory original flathead and the original overdrive transmission. It even has the original radio, tissue dispenser, and floor mats. They are only original once and this is a completely original 1953 Ford Country Sedan. The original paint combination on the car is the same paint and interior combination advertised on the original sales brochure that comes with the car. It has the optional full wheel covers and even the spark plug wires are stamped with the Ford Logo. I have a clear title in my name. Please look closely at all of the photos. I have taken the maximum number allowed by Ebay and I have super-sized them to assist you in evaluating the condition of my station wagon. I want to be sure the new owner knows exactly what they are getting. With this in mind, I will list the problems with the car. 1. It has rust in the rockers and around the rear wheel wells. The floors are solid, but the rocker rust will need attention. There is also rust on the headlight bezels, but a solid set of bezels come with the car. 2. The overdrive cable and switch have been removed, but come with the car. I spent over $600 (receipt included) to have the transmission rebuilt, but I couldn't find an overdrive cable. The clutch works fine and the throw out bearing in new. 3. The brakes need work. The car sat for many years and the brakes need to be bled and checked. 4. The engine is running off of a small auxiliary gas tank. The old gas was sucked into the original fuel pump and plugged it up. It has a new fuel pump, spark plugs, oil and filter. 5. All of the glass is good with the exception of the driver's door window which has a crack. It is flat glass and easy to replace. 6. Some of the chrome will need to be re-plated, and there is a small dent in the rear passenger's side. 7. The car has factory dual exhausts and there is a muffler noise. Again, please look closely at all of the photos. I want to be sure there are no surprises when you get the car home. If you have questions, please let me know.
