1972 Stutz Blackhawk - Purchased New By Sammy Davis Jr. - A Piece of History - WOW!!! Museum Car - Originally Purchased New By Sammy Davis Jr. of The Rat Pack!!! Here is a beautiful, 1972 Stutz Blackhawk purchased new by Sammy Davis Jr. in excellent condition inside and out. This Stutz was in the Imperial Palace Auto Collection for many years and is in outstanding condition. This car was originally dark blue and was professionally changed to white at some point over the years. There are pictures of Sammy standing next to this car when it was new in its original dark blue color. The original gold plaque is still in the car from new stating "This Stutz was custom built for Sammy Davis Jr by Jules Meyers" who owned the first Stutz dealership in the country, in Los Angeles, California and owned part of the company. He also sold the first Stutz produced to Elvis Presley. It is a very clean Stutz loaded with many options including factory air conditioning, sunroof and power everything. This car was built on a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix chassis with the optional 455ci V8 engine. The cars where designed and built in Milan, Italy and was one of, if not the most expensive car built in 1972. Stutz motor cars was formed in 1969. It was the combined dream of Virgil Exner (Famous Designer) and James O'Donnell (Successful Banker). They built their first car in 1971 which was purchased by Elvis Presley. The Stutz became the car of choice for the rich and famous in the seventies and eighties. Stutz automobiles were completely built by hand in Italy using only the finest materials available. It took four months to build each car. Stutz production averaged less than 30 cars per year. In 22 years Stutz built about 600 cars. This is the car to have if you want to feel like an instant celebrity. It's the ultimate cruiser and it gets more attention and appreciation than any exotic or new luxury car could ever get! This is a clean cruiser. This is an original dark blue car that was professionally painted years ago to white and still looks great. It is a rust free California car and the body is straight as an arrow. All of the chrome and trim is original and it all looks great. The original wire wheels are still in great condition. It has a beautiful, all original blue interior in it that looks excellent. It has several gold accents all over in the interior. The dash and gauge cluster look great. Everything that works in the car except the a/c, tach, radio and power moon roof. This is due to the car sitting in the museum and storage for over 20 years. All the items are very fixable. Inside the trunk is very clean. Mechanically, this little beauty runs and drives excellent. The engine compartment is all stock and very clean. This car always starts right up and floats down the road. The suspension rides nice and the car handles very well. We recently went through the car mechanically like new brakes and tune up due to its long length of storage. The car has 74K original miles on it. This is a rare classic car that is only going up in value as time goes on and is truly one of a kind as it was celebrity owned. All in all, this is a beautiful car that is truly a once in a life time find. The true value of this car is truly unknown as the value of Elvis's Stutz is well over $500,000.
