I didn't like it and re-installed the stock shifter. New Pennsylvania Inspection (May 2012). Clutch replaced in 2006 (throwout was making noise so I had the clutch replaced too) New ignition wires and spark plugs at 45K (2011) Manuals included: “Miata MX-5 Workshop Manual” (official) and “Rod's Miata Enthusiat's Shop Manual” Take-offs: Stock radio, camshafts, headlight assemblies, stock air induction, stock visors, plus spare fanbelt and oil filter. KNOWN ISSUES- Heater/AC control decals: The decals are wrinkled. I've just learned the panel kit can be obtained from Mazda dealers like this: http://parts.arlingtonmazda.com/products/PANEL,-PLATE-(NA01%252d61%252dC04A).html- Trunk lock: It occasionally won't unlock using the key. Works after lubing it. I generally use the trunk lock remote-control button in the console and that always works.- Rear finish panel: There's a small break in the panel under the right tail-light.- Seat covers: They are Wet Okole neoprene covers and have no tears or burns but the center red panel is faded to a pinkish-red. The car looks great with that style covers but replacements are $240.- A/C: Air conditioning is not cold. This is not a problem for me since I only drive the car top-down and in nice weather. All parts are there but it probably has a leak somewhere in the system.- Rust: There are two small rust spots, each in the black line of the rocker panel directly below the rear edge of both doors. See photos.- CD Player / Radio: Does not work reliably. The radio has occasionally worked fine but has a bad connection somewhere. The CD player and changer worked very reliably until recently but now sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. When it doesn't it displays an ERR message.- Tops: the convertible top is in poor shape, though currently serviceable. The back window zipper is partially torn out (but does keep the window in place). The hard-top interior is good but there are a few small bubbles in the exterior finish on the left side, under the end of the back window. OWNERSHIP CHAIN I am the third owner of this car. The original owner, the second owner and I all worked together in the Harrisburg, PA suburbs where the car was purchased in June, 1990 and has spent its life thus far. The original owner had all the mods done but then fell for an Audi TT and sold the Miata to a co-worker (the second owner) at 35K miles. The second owner bought it in June, 2001 and sold it to me in August 2004 at 38K miles. It now has a little over 46K miles on it. The car has not been wrecked, flooded, or raced.
