1962 TR4 Triumph Hello, My name is Paul Gardner and I own Catalina Imports located in Leeds, Al. I am always on the lookout for old English cars to purchase as a quick re-sale for myself or a restoration project for someone else. A friend gave me a call last week to let me know of a car he found. Boy…..What a find. I honestly believe this is the best “Diamond in the Ruff” I have found so far. This car was purchased from the basement of a home where it has been stored for the last 16 years. A Restorer’s DREAM Car. NO RUST! The engine and transmission were removed for an engine overhaul. The engine is totally disassembled. I was told that there were no problems with the engine originally he just wanted an upgrade for high performance. However this did not take place and the engine was never reassembled. All pieces body, engine and transmission are complete. The car has no rust damage. The battery box needs minor repair from acid damage. We’ve had the car on the lift and there appears to be no frame or body issues from the underneath or from the top. The car appears to have possibly had one paint job thru the years. It does have one dent in the trunk area. The parking brake works perfectly but hard to tell about the rest of the car since I can’t drive it. The steering is tight and smooth and looks to be in very good condition. The wiring harness looks fantastic, no burns, splices and no rat damage. The top frame is in excellent condition other than paint. Both windows work great. All glass is present and in good condition. The seats are with the car but need new foam. The dash has been covered over with a piece of plywood, but all gauges and switches are present. The car does not have original jack or hand crank. The car has a top cover and top. I have tried to show all pictures to verify there is no rust. If more are needed just let me know. I am a professional restorer and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. I am certain that you will never find another car as solid as this one to restore.
