Thank you and happy bidding. 1957 MGA Roadster Chassis No. HDR43/34361 Engine No. 16GA/U/5053 Striking and Well-Maintained Roadster! Desirably upgraded with the more powerful 1600cc Motor! Complete with Weather Equipment & Accessories – Ready to Enjoy! The color combination, wire wheels, and hard side windows give it a beautiful look! The 1955 introduction of the sleek, envelope-bodied MGA Roadster certainly shocked some purists, but marquee enthusiasts received an exciting preview. Prior to its official launch at Frankfurt, three aluminum-bodied prototypes were entered at Le Mans. As a result, the MGA was launched with a solid competition pedigree, ensuring its acceptance in the market and the United States in particular, where the bulk of production was destined. *Beautiful Color Combination and presentation! The striking Roadster presented here was once the beneficiary of a professional frame-off restoration performed some years ago. The MGA was prepped for the show circuit in which it participated in for several years. During the restoration, the Roadster was fitted with a more powerful and additionally desirable 1600cc motor. Although restoration has aged as one could understand with time and usage, the Roadster continues to present itself in nice condition today cosmetically and mechanically. Today it can still be displayed with pride and enjoyed on the road with no hesitations. It is handsomely finished in correct one-stage white paintwork with a black convertible top, red leather interior, and painted wire wheels. Matching side curtains with storage pouch, full tonneau cover, seat belts and spare tire and wheel. The paint was done in correct lacquer finish so it shows nice but not glossy like a new car. Previously owned by the proprietor of Elizabeth Taylor’s former Pennsylvania state, now turned bed and breakfast, the car has had a good life on the property and we encourage anyone who is looking for a well sorted ready to use MGA Roadster to take serious consideration of this example. *Nicely detailed engine bay and undercarriage! The MGA was an elemental part of postwar sports car history and continues to be a very attractive and relatively affordable, yet tremendously enjoyable, British roadster. On Jun-25-12 at 08:46:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Open roads and through city traffic, the Roadster drives very well and always starts without hesitation. All exterior/interior lights, lamps and signals work as they should. We have no doubt this car could be driven daily or even cross-country.
