Vehicle Detail

1969 Dodge Charger slant six project. Originally from southern California. I've owned the car from 98' onward. Originally optioned as follows: White body, blue interior, buckets, column auto, AM radio, power steering, manual brakes, factory front sway bar, 7 1/4 rear end. No vinyl top, no buddy seat. 225 slant six with automatic trans. A plain jane transportation vehicle wrapped in an awesome body shape. . Body: Fenders, doors, roof, lower front valance,, bumpers, bumperettes, grille etc. are all very solid. Have a nice set of tailights for it, just pulled them. The quarter panels are saveable but need work. Lower quarter patches and small patches over the wheel tubs are needed. The trunk floor is gone. It needs a new one with new lower quarter inner extensions. The dutchman panel below the rear window should be replaced. Could be patched but they are cheap nd easy to install. The interior floors may need small patches where the feet rest. The car sat outside under a tree or in shrubbery for a number of years. The leaves etc. piled up and rusted it through from the top down. The frame is solid. Carappears to have never been wrecked but the drivers quarter has some bondo up high as if it bumped a pole of some sort. The engine bay is fine as is the firewall. they just are dirty with surface rust. The hood is clean but tweaked. Could be repaired or replaced. Decklid is straight but requires patching along the faced lip edge. See pics. Interior: Missing the original buckets but has the rear seat. Door panels are no good. Needs a new interior. The dash was pulled, cleaned and repainted in the correct blue. Put a nice wiring loom, AM radio and lower pads in place. Have a guage cluster housing and face-plate. Missing some of the guages and switches. New glove box insert. Has heater controls and heater box is in the car. Frame: Solid California frame. No salt rot. Grille: Very complete with a small ding on the upper trim, drivers side. Not pictured is the drivers side lid. Have a nice one for it.. Engine: Appears to be the original powertrain. Engine has a hole in the side of the block. No, it is not drivable. For many years. I have another six block that goes with the car. Missing: rear window trim, and windshield, charger emblems on sail panels, rear charger emblem, flip top gas cap, lower signal lights. Car is currently on black steel rollers. No trim tag. Sorry, was missing when i got it. car appears all there though so it should be fairly easy to have one of the experts make one. Title: when I got the car, it came with salvage papers. That was in 98'. I checked with the DMV (may 2012) and they informed me that there is no record of the car in the California system. If that holds true, I can obtain a regular title with fresh plates in my name. If the DMV does in fact have it somewhere in the system, I will obtain a salvage title for whoever gets the car. Please feel free to email me with questions. Reserve is affordable for a 69' Charger..Cash, postal money orders etc for payment. Check back for updates. Thanks for looking! On Jun-25-12 at 12:42:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale elsewhere. Thanks.
