Vehicle Detail

2007 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor Ready for this? If you have been looking for a P71 Interceptor, LOOK NO FURTHER!!! Offered for the first time for sale since I bought it from the Ford dealer in Feb. 2007, my Crown Victoria Police Interceptor w/ P71 code VIN. Tired of being cut off while driving? This IS the car for you!Looking to blend-in to the World? This is the car for that... Driving a P71 Interceptor, cars slow down, move out of your way, and respect your space! This IS the ULTIMATE commuter car, no kidding! Parts traffic like no other vehicle, this car commands respect!!! Never in Police service or Govt. use, I told my wife I was going out for pancakes, and came home with this car... Yes, I am still married, living indoors... We've owned this car for over 5 years, it has been a great car, never needed anything mechanical - other than oil changes and gasoline, I have done nothing to this car. It had needed nothing, and needs nothing today except a new owner! When we bought the car, I think the window sticker was around $28,000. With the options it has, it's LOADED! Including the rare silicone hose group w/ aircraft clamps. Nice!!! No holes in the body, it has never had any police equipment installed. The paint is beautiful and shines well. There are a few very small dings (maybe 2) and a couple slight scratches (maybe 3) which are too small to show-up in pics. I tried, but could not get them to show... I suggest if you are picky, you should come see and drive the car in person. I am open to inspections. Please email for arrangements. We have garage-kept this car since buying it - it is always garaged! It is washed weekly, as I am that picky! If you are fussy over a nice car, you will appreciate this car and the condition it is in! If you have looked for a P71, you have probably seen a LOT of junk! Tired patrol cars or painted B&W cruisers w/ rubber floors and holes in the body and interior are a dime a dozen. Look online and that's about all you will find... I looked for over a year for the right car, finding it at Castle Ford in Maryland. I bought it on the spot. What can I say about this car? Some of the unique features of the P71 Interceptors are:- High Output engine (there is a code on the cylinder head which states: 46 POL)- Clutched alternator (eliminates belt / pulley spin at high rpm upshifts)- AC Cutoff for wide-open throttle- Reinforced front seats - comfortable, and sturdy (different than a civilian Crown Vic.)- Redundant trunk release on center of dash (Police-spec, only)- Overhead "ticket light" in headliner- Heavy-duty cooling systems- Dual exhaust- 17" steel wheels w/ low gloss full wheel coversThis car also has the convenience group: Cruise control, power drivers seat, CD PlayerIt also has what is called the "Administrative Interior" which is the full cloth bench front seat w/ cloth rear seat. Most police cars have split cloth front, and vinyl rear. All doors and windows are power and functional (most police cars in service have rear windows and locks disabledThe car has what is called the Street Appearance Package (Full wheel covers, body side trim, and chrome grille/taillight trim, and carpeted floors). I swapped the grill to the black honeycomb grill (which looks much tougher!) and blacked out the taillight trim with vinyl. Windows are tinted 20% in back and sides, front roll-downs are tinted at 35%I have only used Mobil1 synthetic oil. All CVPIs from '06+ have an hour meter in the cluster. This one has LOW hours! Maybe around 50. I will check and take a picture. Most patrol cars have hundreds, if not thousands of hours. Always garaged, this is a very nice car! When I looked at used P71 cars, 95% of them were used-up patrol cars with rubber floor mats, holes in the dash, and junk. This car is beautiful and even the seats have been covered since I bought it. I am that picky! In pics, you can see the seat covers, then slid back for pics. They are close to new condition. Just passed Virginia State Inspection a few weeks ago. Deposit required upon winning bid. Please see details below for specifics - Thanks for looking! Don't wait and miss your chance on this P71 Interceptor BID NOW!!! Fly in and Drive your P71 Police Interceptor home. We are located just outside Washington D.C., less than a half-hour from Reagan National or Dulles Intl. On Jun-20-12 at 20:40:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: 6/20/12 - Thank you for all the email and interest on this car! For those I have spoken with or responded to your questions via email/messages, please keep them coming! You could probably tell, I am fanatical about my car! A Crown Victoria CVPI P71 Interceptor like this does not come along very often. In fact, since buying mine 5+ years ago, I haven't seen any I'd buy, otherwise - yes, this one is THAT car, a true find! The Norsea Blue paint is an amazing color and very slick! You WILL get waves from other drivers, including other Crown Victorias. This is the ultimate car for every day - It is an unbelievable machine! We are a Non-smoking family and there hasn't been any pets in the car, either. I have been asked the following, which I'll share with everyone in an effort to help with questions - I am in and out over the next few days, so please have patience, as I cannot check my email as often as I have today... Here are some of the questions, thus far: Q: Is this a real police car? A; It is a real P71 VIN Code Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Never in Police service though - but that is a good thing!Q: What is your reserve? A: Please bid what you think an Interceptor of this calibre is worth. In over 5 years, I haven't seen another one like it!!Q: Does it say "POLICE INTERCEPTOR" on the back? A: No, as it has "Street Appearance" package, it says "Crown Victoria". You can change to the others if you like, as the emblems are cheap, and widely available. Q: Why the blankets on the seats? A: I am fanatical on my cars and the condition they are kept. To preserve the interior, I put them on the car the week I bought it. The seats have really not been sat upon. On Jun-24-12 at 19:55:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: 6/24/12 - Thank you for all the email and interest on this car, as I have heard from several more interested people on this car!I have been asked several more questions, which I'll share with everyone in an effort to help with questions - I am available on Monday and Tuesday for the car to be inspected, with notification. Email me if interested. Thanks again! Q: Do you have the original chrome grille? A; Yes. And it will be included with the car for the new owner to decide if they want to re-install.Q: Is the chrome under the taillights?? A: Yes, I wrapped the taillights and trunk chrome with glossy black vinyl. The new owner can decide which look they would like to keep.Q: Are the headlights clear? A: Yes. Clear, and clean. There is no visible yellowing, and the car is garaged kept, so all plastic is nice. Q: Is the car garage kept? A: Yes. For the first 6 mos. I owned the car, I did park it in the shade at work. Then I parked it in a covered garage. It is in the garage, 24/7, unless it is being driven. Q Do you have more pics? A: Yes, and I can take more and send them, if something specific is needed. Please email with your questions.ALSO, WITH ONLY 24 HOURS REMAINING FOR THIS AUCTION, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING RULES ON BIDDING FOR THIS AUCTION: All bids which do not meet the following - and who have NOT contacted me about bidding, will risk having their bids removed.
