Vehicle Detail
***I have updated a few things about this car for the re-listing*** This is a great example of a numbers matching 1969 Porsche 911T Coupe in very good condition. It starts and runs very well...The flat six-cylinder engine with Weber carbs is the original engine for this car (number on engine is 901/16-19217) and was rebuilt 30,000 miles ago. The sound of the engine when accelerating and shifting through the 4 gears is excellent. I just changed the oil and filter and the belts and hoses are in great condition. The engine leaks very little if any oil and starts from cold after depressing the gas pedal only once. The engine does not smoke. I just installed four new Michelin's on the original Fuchs alloy wheels. The body of the car is in really good condition (please see the photos) and except for a few places where the paint is "spidering" and a few small chips are showing, the paint is in great condition for being original. This car does have the PORSCHE lettering on the bottom of each door. It has the original Porsche bonnet and boot emblem and lettering. The doors close very easily and with an excellent sounding "thud". All the exterior panels are straight. The weather-stripping is showing its age but that is to be expected. The underside of the car is in really good condition and the only rust that is starting to show is on the underside of the car below the right rear passenger floor (please see photo), a small amount in the front middle of the underside (please see photo), a small amount inside the bonnet next to the battery (please see photo) and also in the few paint chips, the bottom of the drivers side door, and near the rear drivers side taillight. Please take a look at the photos of the places where there is some rust. In no place has rust completely eaten through the car but just be aware that there will be some rust to attend to....still not bad for a 42 year old car. The paint is original and is "Light Ivory" (please see photo of paint code door stamp). The interior of the car is also in great shape. The only real issues are a separation on the dash (please see photo) and a very small tear in the passenger seat (also see photo). The rest of the seats, carpets, headliner, doors, glass and floorboards are in great shape. The tachometer works but the speedometer does not (I will include a new speedo cable with the sale of the car). The odometer stopped working at 91,957 miles so the exact mileage is unknown. The clock does not work and the headlights and dash lights are quirky (probably just a short in the wiring). The radio was replaced with a Sony CD player and a pair of really ugly surface mount speakers...I removed the speakers and left the Sony CD player in the dash so it will work when hooked to another pair of speaker or a replacement speaker for the dash. All-in-all the interior is in great shape! This car comes with 2 keys, 2 antenna keys, the original drivers manual, technical specifications book, original Blaupunkt radio manual (radio has been replaced), and the original maintenance record from the day the car was to delivered the original owner in Orlando, FL on 03/29/1969 (the maintenance record is stamped up to 06/14/1972 with an odometer reading of 47,544). I purchased this car in March of this year to drive as a weekender and slowly restore but because my wife and I are expecting our first baby that plan went out the window. The previous owner had the car for almost 20 years. His son owned it for 3 years before that and kept it in California. I believe but cannot confirm the gentleman who was delivered the car in Orlando, FL owned it before that. I will include everything that came with the car and a couple of Motorbooks Workshop Handbooks on the 911 with the sale of the car. I will require a $500 deposit via Pay Pal within 24 hours of the winning bid and the remainder to be paid by cashiers check. This car is available for local pickup but if shipping is desired it will be up to the winning bidder to get the quote for shipping and make the arrangements. Please look over the pictures as I have tried to describe this car to the best of my knowledge. All sales are final and there is no warranty for the car...it is being sold as-is...but you will not be disappointed. Please email any questions you may have and I will try my best to answer them. Good luck and happy bidding!
