Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1995 Pontiac Trans Am GT convertible. I have had this probably about 5 years. and have kept it stored in doors at all times. The car gets alot of attention and runs very well. It is by no means perfect or a show car. It is just a nice driver at this point. I put 18 x 9.5 inch Z06 replica wheels on it with new tires last year. I think I have put 1500 miles on it total since I have owned it. I also installed a strut tower brace to help with body flex. Some of the things that the car needs are as follows. passanger door lock cylinder. the pass window need adjusted as it binds slightly when you put it up. the weatherstripping on the Right A-pillar must have been damaged at one point and some one used RTV sealer to "help" the factory weatherstripping(there is a pic of this). Also there is a rub spot on the top below the rear window from what I believe caused by the top being down all of the time and friction from the rear gllass rubbing while driving(this is only the outer material that is damaged and does not affect the integretity of the top). The condition of the paint is not perfect. it has some scratches and chips on the paint. Also the leather seats will need to be recovered as some of the seams are pulling apart. This car seems to have an extended crank occasionally and I have found that it is easier to cycle the key twice when you try and start it. It has good fuel pressure every time i check it. I have never changed the fuel filter so that may be part of the issue also. But since I am selling it I really dont want to put any money into it. The car never fails to start though and runs extremely well. We have taken it on to small trips this year for the first time and it has performed flawlessly. I also do not know if the AC works since it is a convertible and I have the top down 100% of the time that I drive this car. I have a T-top TA that i can drive also so the top on this car goes down in the spring and does not go back up until fall. After all that negative stuff... the car drives and handles like a dream and is not noisey. it is stock just as a convertible should be other than the strut tower brace. I do have the 98-02 updated spindle and dual piston caliper assemblies for this car that will be included so that you can get adapters and upgrade the brakes to Z06 frotor in the front for improved looks and better stopping. If the buyer is from PA he or she could transfer the collector license plates over to their name If they desired.
