Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Rare Classic. 1969 Datsun B2000, SRL 311 Fairlady Roadster. 94200 original miles. Original except the rims and hard top. Rebuilt dual carbs, rebuilt brakes. The only accessories that don’t work are the clock and the radio. Daily driver, I drive this to work (35 mile round trip). Heater works great, mechanically in great running condition. There is a factory convertible top that comes with the car, however it is missing a couple of the small brackets that hold the front of it in place. Comes with factory owners manual. I do have an extra set of tires, original rims and a spare in the trunk all included in the price. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Keep in mind it is 43 years old. The interior has wear and tear that should be expected of an unrestored car of this vintage. I am not trying to sell this car as a show winner. It is basically original. It is what it is. Paint is old and some amateur body work was done before I bought the car. Minor rust around the wheel wells. I’m not a professional body repair person, but in my opinion this car needs minimal body work before painting. Glass is good. Wipers, horn, turn signals, lights, tach, dash lights etc all work as they should. My intent was to restore the roadster which I did get started on, but finally admitted that I have too many projects and am losing focus. The lucky bidder will have a piece of history. These cars were only manufactured from 1960-1970. In 1969, Datsun offered the larger 2000 CC engine instead of a 1600 CC and coupled to a five speed transmission instead of a four speed. This car is reasonably fast and handles like it’s on a rail. Research it and you will find there are not many of these roadsters remaining.
