Vehicle Detail

"Old School Hot Rod Mercury". 1950 Mercury two door coupe. Very solid, straight, and clean 62 year old car. Professionally chopped and lowered a long time ago. Car came out of Iowa with very minimal body rust through. Two small spots in the front floors, one spot ing the rear floor, one spot in the trunk floor, and the body speaks for itself. All of those areas have had new metal welded in. No bondo anywhere. Original V-8 Flathead engine with a three speed (on the tree) manual transmission with overdrive. The steering column has been shortened 5" for better comfort with the top being choped. The original steel rims have been cleaned, and powder coated yellow. The H78X15" Coker Classic wide white wall tires are band new with maybe 10 miles on them. All of the glass is very good. The vent windows in the doors has been elimenated and the new one piece windows roll up and down fine. The hood has 132 louvers punched in it. New battery. NOS Fenton cast iron headers with a complete new exhaust system all the way out the back. The interior is bare except for the newely recovered front seats, rear seats and sun visors. I have a new front bumper that I never installed that goes with the car. This car always starts right up. I drive it anywhere with no problems. If you go on line to www.hotrodart.com you can find this car in the center of the picture titled "The Welding Shop" by Dale Klee. I can help load on any truck or trailer. Please ask any questions before you bid. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. On Jun-27-12 at 12:39:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received alot of questions about about the top chop and if there is any filler in the top. The chop was beautifully done and there is no filler in the roof anywhere. What you see in the pictures is all metal and the welds can still be seen. The bottoms of the doors (inside and out) are very good with no rust through. The wheel well openings, inner fenders, and inner rockers are very nice as well. I will add more pictures of these areas tomorrow.
