Up for your consideration is a 1981 Porsche 911 SC Sunroof Coupe, in what most consider the #1 color combination of black on black. If you have been shopping for, or researching these cars, you're probably aware that Porsche was notorious for some tragic color combinations!! With only 88,656 actual miles, this car is a truely rare find. It features the 3.0 fuel injected air-cooled 6 cylinder engine, mated to the 5sp sequential transaxle, which many Porsche enthusiasts consider to be the best engine Porsche has ever produced ( I have seen a 911 with this type engine last for over 750,000 miles!!!) This car's performance is nothing short of spectacular! Car has beautiful black paint, with only very very minor blems from road debris, polished and clear coated Fuchs Wheels with Embossed center caps, Momo Steering Wheel with matching shift selector knob. All VDO gauges are working correctly including the clock, and are accented with brushed aluminium gauge bezels, ignition cover, and performance pedals. Adding to driver immenities is, a professionally installed, sound system by Kenwood (Model #KDCMP38U) which is Bluetooh capable, has an Ipod/Smartphone input, HD/Satelite radio, remote control etc. combined with a professionally installed Kenwood (model #KAC 8404) 400W amp, located in the trunk. Impeccable installation and incredible sound!! Car has a clean carfax, with several documented service records by Porsche Dealerships. Over the past decade or so, the car has been religously garaged and driven weekly. Car is equipped with A/C, cruise control, power windows and factory alarm system. It also has Sekurit Etched Glass all around. (For those of you not familar with this feature, it is a portion of the VIN # that has been laser engraved into the glass, as a theft deterrent and also to insure all glass is original. Recent service performed, including clutch adjustment and oil change, new belts and A/C charge. An extensive search on the VIN# indicates that this car was one of only 350 cars sent to the US and Canada in 1981 with the Factory Sport Pack! This "package" includes, the sunroof, the chin spoiler with a little longer lip, and the factory installed Whale Tail. From here I will let the photographs speak for themselves. Sadly, there is the notorious Porsche "split", across the dash pad from the A/C vent to the defrost vent. The interior in this car is so pristine that this goes virtually unnoticed. Also, the headliner on the sunroof has begun to dip, ever so slightly, so I will include a brand new complete headliner from Porsche, even though the part attached to the sliding part of the sunroof is what needs a bit of attention sometime in the future. There is enough material to do the entire headliner, if desired. Original owners manual, the key from the original purchase, which is embossed and lighted, as well as the "valet" key, will be included in this sale.
