Mileage: 43,930 Exterior Color: Poppy Red Interior Color: Red Transmission: Automatic Drive: Rear Wheel Drive Seating Capacity: 5 Weight: 2445 Lbs. Wheel Base: 108 ” Top Speed: 117 MPH ** Info from driver side door tag ** Body: 65A (1965 2-Door Hardtop) Exterior Color: 3 (Poppy Red) Interior Trim: 25 (Red Crinkle - Standard) Production Date: 14S (May 14, 1965) D.S.O. (Domestic Special Order): 22 (Charlotte, NC) Axle: 6 (2.80:1, Conventional) Trans: 6 (C4 Automatic) Engine / Trans: This first generation Mustang is equipped with a high-powered 302 cubic inch V8 motor, Holley 4-barrel carb with electric choke and automatic trans on the floor. Everything is mechanically sound. Car starts every time on first turn of the key, idles and shifts through gears nicely. No smoke or leaks. Newer dual exhaust system has a nice deep rumble. The engine compartment and trunk area are clean and tidy and the undercarriage is unsoiled as you can see in the photos. Exterior: The exterior is in excellent condition. The poppy red paint shines like new and, with red interior, is quite rare for 1965-66 pony cars. Ford didn’t make very many in this color combination and it turns heads everywhere. The body is straight with no rust, dents, chips, scratches or structural issues. The emblems/badges, trim, glass and chrome are all in good shape. The high-performance Kumho tires (235/45R 17 94H) and updated 18” Mustang wheels are flawless (about $2000 in wheels and tires). The original wheels also come with car. Interior: The interior is also very nice. The red bucket seats, rear bench, door panels and carpet are all extremely clean with good color and little wear. Two small holes in the headliner where seatbelts are to be installed are currently exposed and radio needs hook up. A new OEM red padded dash was installed in 2009 and still looks brand new. Misc: Please review our 100% positive feedback rating and see that we have been a trustworthy Ebay member since 2000. This first generation Mustang is truly a beautiful specimen of muscle car history. It’s not a 99 point show car but a reliable, rare and great looking classic you won’t have to spend any of your time or money on. Turn the key and drive to your local car show - it’s tuned up for summer and ready to be enjoyed for many many years. Not interested in trades. Clear title is in-hand. The owner’s manual, fitted car cover, headers, original 1965 North Carolina license plate, Mustang key ring, trophies, miscellaneous box of extra parts/trim/chrome pieces and original wheels are also included in the sale. --------------------------------------------------Reserve has been set well below fair market value to ensure immediate equity for the buyer.
