Up for bid is a 1979 super beetle convertible. This is the last year they were imported in the U.S. This is originally a CALIFORNIA CAR.( there are still reciepts in the glove box to prove it).This car is awesome fun and a great runner. If it wasnt pink I would keep it for myself. I bought this for my daughter and she says she doesnt want it....so its gotta go. This is an older restoration and has some chips in the paint. I have posted pictures, so please look at the pictures. body and paint As i previously stated, this is an older restoration. there are some rock chips in the paint in various places. Mostly on the lower portion of the rear wheel wells. You can buy gravel guards for $20 that cover them. there is a big paint chip on the passenger side that is about 1" x 3". it has been filled with touchup paint(pictured).I was going to cover it up with a sticker but i figured id let you see what it really looks like. also the is a dent in the rear passenger side fender about 4" square(pictured). I took this to several painters and they all said the dent and chip could be repaired for about $200-$300. THAT IS ALL THAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR ....PURELY COSMETIC. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!! THE GOOD THERE IS NO RUST ON THE CAR.. THE PANS ARE SOILD RUST FREE..INCLUDING THE BATTERY TRAY. Newer STAYFAST canvas top. Interior is very good shape..no holes or rips in the vinyl. there is however a crack in the dash. a dash cover can be purchased for around $60. ALL NEW BRAKES. E-Brake repaired and new boot installed. wheel bearings repacked. NEW BALL JOINTS AND SWAY BAR BUSHINGS New fuel filter and oil change Bosch H4 halogen headlight conversion Alpine CD player and Kenwood speakers. EMPI center console.
