Vehicle Detail
One of a kind and ultra rare 1991 Mercedes Benz 300CE Coupe Koenig wide body made for baseball legend Ken Griffey Jr to celebrate his rookie year at the Seattle Mariners. 27.5k original miles. Straight off the car lot in 1990, the car had the infamous German sourced Koenig widebody kit installed as well as custom interior and paint done. Also added was an Eibach suspension set-up consisting of lowering springs and sway bars. To top it off, a set of very rare Speedline OZ Minstrals were fitted to fill out the fenders. Fronts are 245/40/17 and rears are 315/35/17. This car looks incredible and always draws a crowd. The best part is, it runs great and is low mileage. Since owning the car, I have done the following: New: Complete paint job which came out great, only 1 month old. DuPont green metallic with UV clear-coat. Alpine stereo, Interstate battery, spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires, coil, oil & filter, differential gear oil, air filter, various temp sensors, OVP relay, fuel filter and oxygen sensor. I bought this car before the summer of 2011 from the 2nd owner who was a sports memorabilia collector, then brought it to a 'Mercedes Only' mechanic to go through (which he did very thoroughly) and then enjoyed this car ever since, mainly with my kids around town. This is a very nice car that drives very nicely and is very reliable. It literally starts up with the first click of the key. Now that the car is complete, I am moving on to something else. To be absolutely perfect, the hood would need to be aligned as it is a bit tough to close (started to happen after the car was painted, so it should be a simple fix but I do not want to mess with it), the wheels would need a re-chrome as they are pitted and are flaking a bit. The car would also need an alignment as it pulls slightly. Finally, the car sat in storage for a number of years so could use a professional interior carpet steam clean. Overall, a very solid low mileage and very unique car for any European car or sports enthusiast to enjoy. Best of Luck and Happy Bidding!
