For sale by private owner, 1992 Daihatsu Rocky SE, 5-speed, 4x4, 1.6l, 16 valve, AC, PS, Removable Hard Top, with safety Roll Cage in the back. All original, 111K miles, southern car with no rust. Hardtop is removable, so is the roof top, making this 4X4 a fun convertible. Towing hitch with 1.8" ball is installed in the back but I do not think that using it for anything more than 1000lb is wise on such light and short vehicle. - No accidents, professionally repainted once 2 years ago because of fading. I have pictures prior to paint. - Engine runs very good with no leaks, new tune up, fresh timing belt, and other misc. items. - Transmission, 4WD and suspension work great, recently serviced manual lockers, new brakes, new shocks, new gear oil. - Brand new dual mode, 15" tires + alignment! Tires are bit aggressive, but do not produce any noise on hard pavement. - Complete new exhaust line, from manifold to tail pipe, with new converter (1 year and 200 miles ago). - Fuel pump was recently replaced, after fuel tank was treated internally for rust, by local radiator shop. - Interior is in excellent shape, compared to most cars of this age and especially whatever Daihatsu's are left out there. All seat surfaces are spotless except for some vinyl repair attempt behind back seat (see pictures). - New windshield and rubber seal. - Recently installed Pioneer CD player + 4 upgraded speakers, rear speakers are very nice, side mounted Sony's, sound is very good and much needed, for this noisy little thing. Known issues with the car: - A/C is mechanically sound, but it looses charge in about 4-5 days. - Ashtray is missing, not sure how it happened, but I cannot locate replacement one at this time. - Cigarette lighter is removed from the dash. Original one was damaged and I never got around to install replacement. Will source one from local parts store, it is standard type unit, sold for a few $. - There is a small hole in instrument cluster glass (see pictures), it was like this when I got the car, can provide smiley sticker, to put over it. This little Japanese 4x4 is extremely rare in the US, especially in this nice and original shape with no abuse. It was my plan to send it to Costa Rica to our vacation property, but since we do not spend enough time there, we decided to sell it locally.
