Vehicle Detail

2008 Zap Xebra Sedan This is a 2008 Zap Xebra sedan. It is a 100% electric vehicle (technically classified as a motorcycle due to the three wheels). It was manufactured by a company called Zap out of California, who is no longer selling them. It has been used for pizza delivery since 2008. The vehicle has a top speed of about 35 mph and goes about 25 miles on a charge when the batteries are in peak condition. Warning, this is not the proper vehicle for the average person. Keeping it running is more like a hobby and requires somebody who is skilled technically to keep it operational. You may be able to find a local mechanic to work on it, but it might be difficult. I strongly recommend that you determine whether you are skilled enough mechanically before you bid on this vehicle. With that said, if you like to tinker with things, and want to drive an affordable, 100% electric vehicle, that will grab a lot of people's attention as you drive by, then this vehicle might be great for you. The vehicle has been heavily used and has quite a bit of imperfections cosmetically. The exterior has been wrapped with company graphics, which should be removable. The drivers seat needs to be replaced as it has been bent out of position. The interior is worn. The batteries will need to be replaced soon. The vehicle is operational, but does not drive like a modern vehicle made by a mainstream auto manufacturer. It is a fairly rough ride and has some squeeks as you drive down the road. This is pretty much how the vehicle has driven since it has been new. You can either look at it as part of the charm or an annoyance. Just don't expect a high quality manufactured vehicle. The vehicle has been modified from the stock version to make it more durable for Minnesota winters and pizza delivery. The following modifications have been done: *Batteries have been enclosed to keep them warm in the winter. *A fan was installed to keep the batteries cool in the summer (currently disconnected) *Changed to nine 8V Trojan T-875 batteries. *Trojan battery watering system was installed to make battery maintenance easier. *Electronics were enclosed to sheild from weather and road debris. *A fast charge receptacle was added to the rear of the vehicle (Anderson connector) *The rear seat was removed to make room for the extra batteries. The dimensions are 10'3"(L), 5'3"(W), 5'3(H), and I believe it weighs approximately 1600 lbs.
