Vehicle Detail

This has been a joy to drive since February 2006. It was owned by an attorney in Ohio and then his sister in West Virginia, whom I bought it from. I'm the second owner and have most of their maintenance records and all of mine. I drove it mostly for fun until I moved to California four years ago, where it was my daily driver. I had a lovely commute through the canyons from the San Fernando Valley into Beverly Hills and enjoyed spirited driving with the top down. I moved back to to North Carolina this past year and just haven't been driving as much as I had been, partly because we have four cars and a two-car garage. My wife bought a Lexus SUV to cart around our new puppy. I just sold the Toyota 4-Runner and need to say goodbye to the Porsche, so we'll just have the two cars again. It had 58,000 miles when I bought it and has 86,450 on it now. I have enjoyed learning about the car online and buying parts such as air, gas, oil filters and changing them out. Last year I had four new speakers added as well as four new Michelin Sport Plus A/S tires. I just had the timing belt and water pump replaced and its running the best that I can remember. It absolutely purrs. I never painted the right rear panel that has faded a different shade (look at the photo). This is probably a two or three hundred dollar job. It comes with the manual, keys, etc., and a cabriolet cover that snaps over the top. The car handles incredibly well. It's giggly fun on tight turns and windy roads. It's a great cruiser in the city or along the coast with the top down. I have maintained the mechanics and appearance like a good fanatic. I would describe it as in excellent shape inside and out. You can see the dings, etc. that you would expect in the photos. I had to accept some scuffs in LA because of the nature of the driving out there. I'll put up lots of photos so you can see for yourself how good it looks. The only item that doesn't work is the cruise control--which I didn't fix because I never thought of it as a highway, here-to-there, car. Even on a wine trip up to the central coast, I made the drive an experience. The top, the power seats, everything else works. It always starts right up and performs. The steering, responsiveness, acceleration, etc. are very tight. The A/C is cold, but every year or two, check the freon. I added some last summer. If you can see it and take it for a test drive, which I recommend, you'll probably buy it on the spot. I had it transported to California and back with no problems whatsoever, so feel good about shipping. Even if you can't come see it, with the recent maintenance, looks and handling, you'll be very happy you bought it. If you have questions, I love talking about the Porsche, so please email me.
