Vehicle Detail
This is an original Alfa Romeo Giulia 'barn find' that was a earlier race car. We do not know the history of how or where it was raced. The body has numerous surface rust areas that look worse that they are - virtually all our surface rust only. The trunk floor has one small area of rust, easily repaired, and the trunk lid has rust through along the lower left edge. Both floor pans in the seating area will have to be replaced. Body has some areas that require body work - dents and so on. Front fenders are flared for whatever racing the car was involved in. Original exterior door handles, trunk hinges, tail lights. The original hood was lost during shipping but the car comes with a fine original '63 hood, just a different paint scheme. See photo. Does not include the engine or transmission, but the transmission cross-member and engine mounts are there. Inside trunk lid are several vintage racing stickers - see photo. No title, only bill of sale so you'll have to apply for your own salvage title. The photos show what is included in this rare old Alfa, but please contact me if you have other questions. Car is near Sedona, AZ. On Jun-04-12 at 12:40:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional information: Car comes with an extra set of Alfa wheels with mounted 195/60 14" radials. Also a pair of A.R.E. 7 x 14" aluminum wheels in perfect condition. There is rust on two of the crossmembers roughly under the cockpit area. I now have the history on the car. The following is from Keith Goring of Alfas Unlimited: "The car was run by one of my former employees, Brian Ocain. He had built up a full race 1750 for the car, with 5 speed and a 6:14 rear end. It ran high 14s @98MPH as I recall. He ran it at Lebanon Valley in the late 70s, maybe into the early 80's. It drove the muscle car guys crazy. There are some pictures around somewhere. I know that the Alfa Owner printed a picture at one time." I checked the diff and it no longer has the 6.14 GTA hill climb gearing. On Jun-05-12 at 18:47:12 PDT, seller added the following information: The diff is now 4.56.
