Vehicle Detail

1969 Satellite Convertible Factory A4 silver 383 car, original fender tag. A build sheet is still under rear seat! One of 701 made. This car was converted to look like a road runner convertible. All body side moldings were deleted. Road runner birds and emblems were put on the car by previous owner. This Satellite convertible left the factory as a A4 silver car, 383 2 barrel with power steering and brakes. It would look very nice to restore the car to the original color combination again! Engine: mid 1970's 440 that was completely gone through about 5 years ago. Less then 500 miles on the build. Stock parts with a mopar purple shaft hydraulic .455 lift cam. Engine runs absolutely great. Newer edelbrock intake and carb with Mopar performance valve covers. Hedman steel headers. Engine needs nothing. Receipts on engine are available Transmission: 1970 727 torquelflite built according to old owner by Mancini. 2800 stall converter with standard valve body. Shifts great. No issues Differential: 8 3/4 489 case 3.91 sure grip. Rear end came out of a 69 Charger. No whining or leaks, Perfect operating condition. Interior: Original type bench seats, dash pad perfect. All vinly in very good condtion. Carpet is newer. Seats were recovered in the incorrect pattern about 5 years ago. Top: Newer top installed about 12 years ago holding up well and will not need replacement. Has glass rear window. Original top boot cover included Brakes: Originally a front disc brake car, still retains its disc brake booster, now has power assisted drum brakes all around. No issues. Car stops and steers fine for its age. Radiator: Newer aluminum with electric fan to cool the beast on warmer days. Original 053 rad available as well. Body: Road runner hood and decklid in very good shape. The car will need quarter panels and a passenger front fender, as it was tapped about 10 years ago. Trunk pan will also need replaced as many mopars do. Frame: 95% of the frame is in good shape. There are some spots that will require some work when the car is restored near the rear bumper crossmember. All of the parts are available. This is a Michigan car that was driven as a daily driver until 1996, winter included. Torsion bar crossmembers are good. No structural rust issues. Overall: This is a great restore and drive project. The driveline is all new with receipts. Nothing required there. Does not need a top, has a newer windshield. All side glass is in good shape. Doors open and shut well. Top goes up and down well. Car drives nice and straight. This is a great way for someone to get into a road runner (clone) convertible on the cheap. My reserve is lower then what you think. I have two other road runner ragtops that need finishing and my son is way too young for me to keep it for him! Sale: This is a binding auction. If you hit the buy it now, you buy it. The reserve is low. I do reserve to sell the car off ebay as it is for sale locally. Payment to be paid with either a bank wire or cash. I will store the car up to four weeks after auction end if necessary. This car does not have a warrenty. None is expressed or implied. Feel free to email me if you want specific pics of any where on the car. Happy ebaying!
