Vehicle Detail
1927 Ford Model T Roadster Car is an all steel Ford Body with Steel Doors Custom 2" x 3" steel frame. Body is channelled over the frame. Front end is a 1940 Ford suspension set up with a drilled 33-34 Ford straight axel. Front end has late model disk brakes. No bump steer or slack in the steering. Cars drive and handles as close to perfect as I have ever seen. All of the front end bushings, king pins and spring perches were replaced by me less than 50 days ago. Everything is new on the front end. The steering wheel has a quick disconnect so you can remove it as a theft deterrent device. Rear end has spring mounted behind a nine inch ford with ladder bars holding it in place. Paint job and air brush work is less than 50 days old. It was done prior to us driving the car to the roundup in Austin. That was a 350 mile round trip, I do drive the car on a weekly basis. Car runs and drives good, always starts quickly. It idles very well for having a three rochester setup. Does not load up and die. It will blow some fuel colored smoke when you first fire it up. Goes away immediatly and does not smoke at all while running. Car has a custom Griffin radiator, has never over heated on me during our hot Texas summers. I have never driven it in bumper to bumper traffic, but I have cruised the madness on Congress during Roundup with no over heating issues. The engine is a small block Cheverolet 305 with a turbo 350 transmission. Engine and tranny is stock with the exception of the intake and carbs. The only problem I know of is the starter drags a little when you crank it. The bendix spring is week and it drags slightly when it is exiting the flywheel. Has not hurt anything, flywheel teeth are still in great shape. It is so minor I have never bothered to fix it. The interior is basically all factory steel exposed with the exception of the steel floor pans that were built in our shop. The floor pans are removable by taking out screws and bolts. The only interior is a couple indian blankets sewed around some cushions that lay on the seat pan and the back rest. This is the way I wanted it. Everything is there if someone would like to put factory type interior in the car. Car will need new rear tires soon. The mileage in ebays description is wrong. There is no speedometer or trip odometer in this car. The only gauge is for engine temperature. I have no idea how many miles are on it. My wife and I both drive the car. It really drives and stops like a modern car. Please feel free to ask questions.. I will sell the car to anyone listed in the description area. Payment must be cleared through the bank before the car leaves my property. Buyer handles all shipping cost and arrangements.
