1996 Dodge Dakota SLT V-8 4 Wheel Drive 5 Speed The Good: This Dakota runs, starts and drives great! The clutch is strong and it has a Class IV receiver for towing. This is an unusual truck considering its options; it is a top of the line SLT with bucket seat interior and all available power options but does not have an automatic and is a regular cab short bed body! It is a blast to drive due to its power and relatively small size. I have a clean title in hand. This truck has never been in an accident. All the options work (including the A/C and Cruise Control). The tires are in very nice shape. The Bad: It has developed a hole in the frame on the passengers side and will therefore not pass VT state safety inspection. Rust has started in the rockers and underneath the factory wheel arch mouldings as well. It also needs rear brake work. I am confident the frame could be patched up. It could also use a can of refrigerant for the A/C.
